Because of ruptured cyst, new fear of "intimacy"  Reply with quote

So after about a week and a half of being in SEVERE pain and multiple visits to different Dr’s for this and that… the conclusion is… there is no conclusion… after the pelvic US they found “evidence" of a ruptured 5 ½ cm cyst, and multiple smaller ones on my left side…there is a LOT in inflammation around my ovaries and as well as my lymph nodes in my stomach (where I originally felt the pain)… they want me to come back in for a pap.. and really want me to entertain the idea of going on Birth control for a short while (even though my Hubby had a vasectomy), worst case scenario I would consider going on Yaz because of my PMDD….

Well I have been feeling significantly better the past two days and the other night tried to be “intimate” with my husband but could not get into the “groove of things” I was so scared of possible pain… he was not hurting me but the thought of pain was in the front of my mind… he’s a very loving and understanding man (but let’s face it he’s a man…who has needs), we tried again last night and completed the “act” but I still “was not there” and actually cried because of the fear of the pain coming back…he consoled me as best he could and gave me very encouraging words and affection. how do you overcome intimacy after what I feel is something so physically tragic… it’s wasn’t this hard for us to be intimate after either of my C-sections… please any incite, prayer, or advise is welcomed… I’m at a loss….
Crying or Very sad

Hi Christine,

I can only send support and thoughts that, hopefully, it will just get easier with time?

We've been having some troubles here getting back "in the swing of things" since my surgery last month...even after getting the all clear from my doctor. And oddly enough it's more that my SO, sweet as he is, is almost TOO worried that he's going to "hurt" me or something...he's been paranoid ever since I first got my cyst diagnosis and I showed him where it was (he's a doctor, so once I had my gyno point it out to me I was able to show him where it was and how big it was...maybe that freaked him out too much! Embarassed ) Now it's gone and I'm past the pain of recovery, but it's still a lot to deal with, I guess for both of us still.

So I guess the only answer is really time, patience, and not trying to push things...?
