| Using only Hormone-Free Dairy |
|
|
I've heard this as a suggestion from some alternative doctors. The theory is that the estrogen in dairy products (not organic) boosts hormone levels to create cysts. I'm not sure if that's true or not. Has anyone tried this? _________________ Love in Christ,

| All dairy has hormones in it. |

Naturally occuring hormones in a female cow go into all milk that comes out of that cow. Avoiding hormones means avoiding all milk products. Maybe you were thinking about ADDED hormones (rBST)? Which sounds good to avoid too, but is not a worry if milk products are eliminated from your diet. |

Good point. I had not considered the naturally occurring hormones. Very intriguing.
I have tried switching over to rice milk completely. I'm getting used to it, but it's hard not to have an occasional milkshake or milk product (especially since I get GERD and it makes my stomach burn less.) _________________ Love in Christ,

I'm going to try this. I've read tons of articles on skipping dairy products and meat, unless it's organic..
I'm going to do it for a month, so I'll let you guys know how it goes.. |

Wal mart is now advertizing that all the milk they sell is free of
added growth hormones.
Better than nothing, and better than some of the pricey hormone free brands out there. |

I went vegan this week and i think it's helping reduce the cramps. Not just vegan, but eating mostly(alkaline) vegetables, whole grains, no meat (I've read fish is okay). Drinking lots of water. Kelp, flax seeds... |
